Bubble problem in the production of aqueous pigment paste
Because of adding of surfactant, the water based pigment paste is very easy to cause bubble, just like milk emulsion. During the opened dispersion, the dispersed machines that is high-speed grinding easily bring heat energy to the pigment paste, the bubble will be made when air goes into the pigment paste liquid.
The bubble problem is a common phenomenon that always troubles pigment paste manufacturers in the production management. These bubble will lead that the pigment particles within the pigment paste can not be well cut and shattered, and resulting in poor dispersion and production efficiency of aqueous pigment paste. This will increase energy consumption, so it is bad thing.
Generally, there are three ways to solve the bubbles:
One, to add defoamer to change the surface tension of pigment paste. But Shanghai Caison pigment paste engineers will not easily add too much defoamers, because it may lead to pattern cracks when clients use pigment paste for textile printing, especially in the poor absorption of paper coating.
Two, to eliminate the bubble through the mechanical ways, this technology is being explored by us.
Three, to prevent air from entering the containers of water based pigment paste, but also need to reduce too much heat generated during the pigment paste producing. We have already begun to try to use this method in the daily production.
By the way, we have to know that not all bubbles need to be destroyed.Such as coffee, nearly all people who like coffee know that Italian coffee and fancy coffee are needed to add foam rich milk, because foam milk can bring a mellow taste for coffee. The making of milk foam is similar with the happen principle of pigment paste bubble.
