2015 Chinese total output and import & export quantity of organic pigment as main materials of water based pigment paste, Concentrated analysis of the future development of water-based pigment paste

According to the statistical analysis of the work report from 2016 Shanghai Coatings Industry Association Annual Meeting, talked by Mr. Yuande Yang who is the Secretary-General of China Dyestuff Industry Association.
2015, organic pigment that is main material of water based pigment paste (organic pigments of various colors totals), Chinese production is 228000 tons;
2015, organic pigment that is main material of water based pigment paste (organic pigments of various colors totals), Chinese exports is 142000 tons;
2015, organic pigment that is main material of water based pigment paste (organic pigments of various colors totals), Chinese imports is 17000tons;
We can know  it from the above data, organic pigment materials of water based pigment paste have been consumed about 103000tons total in 2015.

Organic pigments important application areas: ink, pigment paste (water based and  oil based), plastic masterbatch. The 103000tons consumed in 2015 was used by these three areas.

2015 China imported pigment paste important raw organic pigments 17,000 tons, six major importing countries and regions are:
1, South Korea (about 17.5%)
2, India (approximately 17.2%)
3, Taiwan (approximately 15.2%)
4, Germany (14.6%)
5, Japan (13.6%)
6, United States (about 11.8%)

The near 90% total importing amount of main material organic pigment is from these six major importing countries and regions in 2015.

The average import unit price is about USD15.63/Kg in Chinese importing main material organic pigment of pigment paste in 2015.

2015, China exports pigment paste important raw organic pigment 142,000 tons, six major exporting countries and regions are:
1, United States (about 26.7%)
2, Netherlands (15.4%)
3, Germany (14.1%)
4, Indonesia (7.3%)
5, Belgium (approximately 6.9%)
6, Japan (approximately 6.8%)

The near 77.2% total exporting amount of main material organic pigment to these six major importing countries and regions in 2015.

The average export unit price is about USD8.13/Kg in 2015.
It can be seen:  organic pigment as pigment paste main material is imported less, concentration of importing of organic pigment as pigment paste main material is higher, the importing unit price of organic pigment as pigment paste main material is higher.

These three points will severely restrict the development of Chinese  water based pigment paste to a higher quality!

Water based pigment paste manufacturers should strive to expand the import of main material organic pigment, in order to promote the development of more high-end water based pigment paste.
