Introduction of water based carbon black pigment paste

Carbon black is very important and very common inorganic black pigment, which is widely used for inks, coatings, printing and dyeing applications. However,  special carbon molecular structure of carbon black leads to difficult to disperse and easy to agglomerate. So how to promote the good dispersion of carbon black in water based pigment paste is one important research topic in the research of Shanghai Caison Technology Department.  

The choice of dispersant and addtition amount suitable for carbon black molecular is one of important conditions which is to ensure good dispersion in black pigment paste. According to the experimental results, we know that anionic dispersant with low molecular weight is more suitable for carbon black molecules dispersed in water based black pigment paste. The appropriate dispersing equipment and process is also necessary condition for good dispersion of carbon black. For example, stirring, cutting, grinding baht, are key parameters. 

How to determine the dispersion of water based black pigment paste is excellent ot not?  We can detect the centrifugal stability of the carbon black pigment paste, and check the storage stability at the condition of 50 to 55 degrees Celsius. The study results done by Shanghai Caison technical staff shows that the dispersion of carbon black is good when the particles distribution is very uniform. Particles distribution of CAISON brand water based black pigment paste is not only uniform, but also the average particle size is about 1um. It can be used for textile screen printing, textile pigment dyeing, architectural coatings coloring, natural latex tinting, daily necessities coloring, paper coating and etc. Its applications are extremely wide, and storage stability is more than two years.
