We all know that pigment dyeing is one kind of fabrics dyeing processes. It is the common application of waterborne pigment paste in the textile industry! And the quantity of pigment paste needed is larger in textile printing or dyeing factories, so this is one of the highly competitive market for water-based pigment paste manufacturers.

The equipment of pigment printing is usually screen plate, can be divided into flat and round flat. Pigment paste printing which means using scraper to press the pigment printing paste to print on the fabrics is one kind of textile printing methods. When we make textile printing or dyeing on the rotary printing machine, it is much fast, and matched adhesive is needed to fix color. So the most worried thing from textile dyeing factories is that water-based pigment paste blocks the screen mesh during the textile coloring. In order to prevent the blocking during the rotary screen printing with water based pigment paste. Shanghai Caison Color has one D series textile dyeing pigment paste, it is more thin compared to CAISON brand CTH series textile printing pigment paste. Application of water-based pigment paste| Pearlescent mica pigment covered dyeing

The raw materials of pearlescent mica pigment is mica powder. If no surface treatment of mica powder, it can not absorb the colors, and can not be dyed to pearlescent pigments! Mica powder must be covered by aluminum chloride first, and then dyed it with water-based pigment paste to complete the coloring of pearlescent mica pigment.  

The technical staff has made the mica pigment dyeing testing:

In the experiment,  put 5 grams pearlescent mica (which had been covered with aluminum chloride) into 50grams water, and disperse it at 1000r/min.  Then separately add 0.25grams of CAISON resin free pigment paste 8 series product into the dispersion liqiud and check the covering effect.

The PH value of added water in the test is 8.0, and adding the pearl powder to adjust it to 7.5,then respectively put CAISON resin free black pigment paste in two batch number, one liquid PH value is 7.8, another liquid PH value is 7.3. At last, all of their PH will be 6.6 to 7.0 when they are being dyed, partial to acidic. Principle analysis: In the actual production of pearlescent mica pigment,  aluminum chloride hydrolysis into aluminum hydroxide precipitation, and makes the solution is acidic. so adding sodium hydroxide to adjust to maintain PH stability to promote the reaction.

Shanghai Caison experimental staff has found that: acidic environment is more conducive to dyeing and adsorption with water-based pigment dispersion, the coloring of pearlescent mica pigment is better!

水性色浆应用︱珠光云母颜料包覆染色实验

珠光云母颜料的前身是云母粉！云母粉没有进行表面处理，没有对颜色的吸附力，无法染色成为珠光颜料！

云母粉必须先用氯化铝包覆好，然后用水性色浆进行染色，完成珠光云母颜料着色！

珠光云母被水性色浆包覆后，成为非常靓丽的珠光云母颜料！

上海彩生技术人员对珠光云母染色的应用试验：

进行实验，50g自来水中加入5g珠光云母（已经包覆好氯化铝）、搅拌机1000r/min分散，后再分别加入0.25g上海彩生通用无树脂的8系列水性色浆看包覆效果。

实验中自来水测试PH8.00，按比例加入珠光粉调整后PH7.50，分别用加入10%上海彩生无树脂通用黑色浆两个批号，变为一个PH测试为7.8，一个PH测试为7.3；全部调整到染色液中PH为6.6-7.0，偏向酸性，

原理分析：珠光云母颜料在实际生产中，氯化铝水解氢氧化铝沉积使溶液变酸性，因此加入氢氧化钠进行调节保持PH稳定促进反应进行；

上海彩生实验人员发现：应该酸性环境比较有利于水性色浆染色吸附，珠光云母颜料着色强度更好！

Pigment paste or dyes paste ink for digital printing

A few days ago, Mr. Xu who is the techincal commissioner of Shanghai Caison  received a calling from one of customers. He asked whether Shanghai Caison had water based pigment paste for textile digital printing, and also wanted to  know if this pigment paste would block the nozzle ? If yes, is it because of the bigger size of pigment paste particles?  This customer told Mr.Xu that he had bought a digital printing machine, but matched water based pigment paste which was used for printing was too expensive.

Because of no plate making and flexible modification, textile digital printing just is needed connected with computer, just lower pollution and wasterwater is caused, so its development is very fast in today's Europe and the United States.  It can replace flat screen printing, and is good for single printing and mass production! But the color performance in ditigal printing is not the same as  traditional flat screen printing and rotary screen printing on fabrics, the chemical performance of dyes paste ink is not good enough for spraying. However, water based pigment paste ink is closer to the color shown and required, but so fine pigment particles need consume much more energy and working hours. This bviously hinders the broader development of digital printing !

Mr.Xu and this customer had made a deep discussion the reason that water based pigment color paste would block the nozzle of digital prinrting machine. Mr Xu thought that it was caused by the essence of pigment paste.  The pigment particles are ground to the nanometer level during the grinding process, but he pigment particles are still easy to accumulate in the storage and transportation. Then the balance of pigment paste is easily to be destroyed. That's why Shanghai Caison company didn't make the project for spray paint pigment paste business.

The customer can add the same amount of pigment paste into the same quantity of matched binders, then stirs evenly. It should be known that which kinds of pigment paste has better color strength. The customer can compare them with their own conditions, or can also commission our technical department to do comparative testing. Only by comparing and testing, we can we know the real good quality and real cost.

3. Safey standards of water based pigment paste. Currently, the quality of aqueous pigment pastes on the market is very different. Although they are all called water-based pigment paste, some of lower prices pigment pastes are produced by inferior pigments. Heavy metals and heterocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons will be excessive, there are serious security risks in the applications! So customers must pay attention to the safety quality of water-based pigment paste!

4. Pigment paste quotation list must include the pigment content. Experienced customers would require pigment paste suppliers offer the data of pigment content in pigment paste. Some of pigment paste factories just provide solid content index to the customers, but solid content is not the pigment content. The solid content contains the solid content of other surfactants, but is not equivalent to pigment content. This is also very important!

News| Pigment paste sales of the first two months in 2017 increased by 26%

Under the condition of rapid development of water-based coatings, CAISON water based pigment paste has achieved a simultaneous growth in the first two months in 2017.

Fiber dyeing before spining, also known as fiber stock coloring. Currently, more widely application is polyester fiber dyeing before spinning, and main method is that put the masterbatch (pigment or dyestuff master) into the polyester fiber first , then do spinning.
