What's the key point of cationic pigment paste dyeing |Research results sharing from Shanghai Caison Color

Insiders know that cationic pigment paste is more reasonable in textile dyeing than non-ionic pigment color paste, it is also simpler in fact. But cationic pigment paste dyeing is hard to achieve a satisfactory dyeing effect. This is why it has not been accepted by the market until now.

During the dyeing process of cationic pigment paste dyeing, the non-water-soluble pigment particles and dyed fibers have a complex physical and chemical effects and reaction, resulting in the inconsistent dyeing effect in the same bathtub with different lots. After repeated tests in Shanghai Caison Color Lab, the key points of cationic pigment paste dyeing is summarized as follows:

1. No cationic grafting treatment before dyeing with cationic pigment paste;

2. When using cationic pigment paste for textile dyeing, be sure to make the fabric do a lasting two-way turning in dyeing tank. It just means that stirring in one direction for a few minutes and then turn it back for a few minutes. Make sure that the pigment particles are fully accessible to the textile fibers!

3. The fineness of cationic pigment paste is best in 1μ or less, and particles are uniform;

4. The dyeing liquid PH condition is different for different textile fibers. The dyeing factories should be strictly control the PH value of dyeing liquid. It is very important.  Shanghai Caison Color Technology team would give full support before lots dyeing.

5. Heating process should be done in the dyeing process. The rising of dyeing temperature is conducive to speed up the microscopic movement of molecular particles! When the temperature reaches 70 Degrees Celsius,  higher is no needed.
