Water based pigment paste in the appllication of textile screen printing

Textile printing, is printing some beautiful patterns on the surface of textiles. It includes dyestuff printing and pigment printing. Textile pigment printing is that we print patterns by water based pigment paste.

Textile dyestuff printing, is the penetration printing, positive and negative of fabricis the same. This kind of printing makes no protrusion feeling on the patterns and no clear, no layering.
Textile pigment printing with water based pigment paste is one way printing of effect of pigment paste and binder. The nice pattern is just printed on single side of textile. The water based pigment paste will make limited color penetration and diffusion with the help of water based binder. Then clear and beautiful pattern will show on the fabrics.

The preparation of textile printing pigment paste:
Water based pigment paste, various types of printing auxiliaries (fixing agent, moisture absorbent, dispersant, cosolvent, defoaming agent and so son), original paste (Natural hydrophilic macromolecules; denatured starch, alginate, cellulose and starch, sodium or ammonium salts of acrylic acid copolymers, and sodium or ammonium salts of maleic anhydride copolymers).


Features and requirements of water based pigment paste  for textile screen printing:
1. The good compatibility of pigment paste and other printing auxiliaries, no lumps or other phenomena!
2. No impurities, no large pigment particles, the average particle size should be below 5 microns;
3. A certain degree of wettability, adhesion and cohesion；
4. A certain mobility;
5. High tinting strength and can be colored based on the minimum amount;l
6. Ensure the uniformity and appropriate permeability of textile printing;
7. Good system stability, can not swell, precipitation and discoloration by itself;
8. Pigment paste color should be very bright and pure.
