Importance of color detector in the measuring of water based pigment dispersion

Color detector is one kind of instrument to detect the color hue.

All water based pigment dispersion factories and laboratorise with a certain szie must be euipped with color detector. Color detector has two parts: hardware part and software equipment part. It also can be divided into fixed type and movable type.

Water based pigment dispersion testing is that it is going to test the pigment dispersion which is printed on the application materials, and compared with the target water-based pigment dispersion with certain pigment dispersion formulation. We use color detector take the data from three points on this material, then the color detector will read the relative values of A,B,C,L in the corresponding yellow area, red area, blue area and green area. The pigment dispersion formulation personnel will check the data and make some adjustment in pigment dispersion formula if necessary.  So color detector is very important for technical staff to quickly choose suitable pigment materials and quantity for pigment dispersion formulation.
